Welcome to the Abundance ElectedLeaders Network

A community for local leaders who get results

We're here for outcomes. Are you?

The Abundance Network, a 501c3 nonprofit, is organizing a new generation of civic leaders to build a 21st-century government. That work starts with you, government leaders. Abundant leaders are curious, humble, and outcomes-focused. They are not satisfied with just passing policies. They want to deliver solutions to real problems.

As an elected leader, you are at the forefront of accelerating change in your community, which can be challenging and isolating in today’s political, technological, and economic environment. The Abundance Elected Leaders Network is designed for leaders like you, by leaders like you, who are eager to implement abundance principles and elevate the quality of life for their constituents and prosperity in their communities. You will join a pioneering network of elected leaders dedicated to crafting policies that ensure an abundance of the things that matter most and effective governance to deliver on them across areas like childcare, clean energy, housing, transportation, public safety and more.

Why Join the Abundance Elected Peer Community?
1. Get more done for your community
Unlike many programs focusing on getting elected, our community is dedicated to empowering elected leaders like you. Here, you’ll gain peer support and expert guidance tailored to help you achieve specific policy goals, ensuring your tenure is marked by effective leadership and meaningful change. You’ll be at the forefront of the Abundance movement with access to top thought leaders and even one-on-one support opportunities.
2. Learn, grow, and be supported
The Abundance agenda can reshape local governance. Connect with other practitioners grappling with similar challenges to learn about innovative solutions and approaches. We provide a safe space and working group environment for exploration and innovation.
3. Be a part of a growing movement.
We imagine a world where government helps solve society’s most pressing problems and supports broadly-shared prosperity. You will be a part of a movement of thinkers and leaders united in that vision.

  • In-Person Convenings: Join us for exclusive in-person events where you will learn, collaborate, and strategize with fellow abundance advocates.

Are you an Abundant Elected?

You are a new generation of civic leader, building a 21st century government.

If you're an elected who is humble, curious, and outcome-oriented, this is your new support network. We aim to connect and support U.S.-based local elected leaders already engaged in or exploring the principles of abundance in practice (whether they know the name "abundance" or are just learning about it). Our network is open to any elected leader serving a local community and exhibiting these qualities, whether you've just been elected or have served for decades.

We are looking for elected leaders who are true Abundants, exhibiting the following characteristics:

  • Implementation-focused: You care as much about understanding and improving upon existing policies as you do about creating new ones.
  • Promotes an outcomes culture: You believe government staff are key partners, not adversaries, in achieving your policy goals, and engage in shared learning with them, using data to diagnose not punish (as a “compass not a grade”).
  • Supply-side oriented: You recognize government constraints on access to and supply of public goods, like affordable housing, can harm best outcomes (some call this YIMBY for everything).
  • Courageous, humble & curious: You have resisted or would resist special interests if it would compromise a policy’s most effective outcome, even when politically difficult. You engage in and value constant inquiry and iteration.
